We are moving beyond poorly written emails and entering an era of AI-generated phishing messages, hyper-realistic deepfake videos, and voice cloning that can perfectly mimic a loved one. Staying safe in the coming years will require a new level of awareness and an understanding of these emerging AI-driven threats.
For years, one of the easiest ways to spot a phishing email was by its poor grammar and awkward phrasing. Generative AI models, however, can produce perfectly fluent and contextually appropriate text in any language, instantly eliminating this red flag.
